Thing 5, or Interesting Thing from my Reader
I read a thought-provoking post from Students 2.0, entitled Youthnet, by Lindseahas created two places where students can connect and collaborate without teacher moderation. The sites are YouthNet on Twitter, and World Connections on Wikispaces.
Students can post a thesis and have others worldwide contribute with their own ideas. Then the student can choose those with whom they wish to collaborate on the project. It’s the ultimate in cooperative learning!
Lindsea puts it this way, it’s “the epitome of unschooliness and passion-based learning.” Wow!
